Uganda: Rwanda to Host First Investment Conference

A TOTAL OF 417 business-people and institutions from 35 countries are to participate in the first East African Investment Conference in Kigali, Rwanda.

The conference, which will be held under the theme: "Leveraging the East African Market through Trade and Investment," is aimed at promoting business opportunities in the East African Community (EAC).

The conference, which will run from June 26-28, is also aimed at creating a larger market for goods .

"You should use the conference to share information. You have to carry business cards and brief profiles about your companies," investment state minister, Prof. Semakula Kiwanuka, said at a meeting with the Ugandan participants. Uganda will send 82 participants.

"The challenge you have is to market Uganda. The great challenge goes to the trade ministry and the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
