Just think of me as the billionaire who loves to share her wealth!

Asked her 3 Questions:

  1. Tell us about your country.
  2. Tell us what Mr & Miss east Africa UK is to you.
  3. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

My name is Nelly Kibirige... the original Nelly! I am 26, born in Uganda, raised in Libya, Egypt, Uganda and the UK. For the past year, I have been working as a cashier for a firm of turf accountants in South London. I have lived in over 50 different locations and attended far too many schools. I come from a family of travellers and have done a lot of travelling myself; basically my life is all about variety! On the other hand, I am very driven, ambitious, well presented, learned, and intelligent and I have a strong knack for business. I have come up with many incredible business ideas, some of which have ended up in other people's portfolios! But that's ok, coz there's plenty where those came from.

My country Uganda is the most beautiful country I've ever seen! It's lush and green, hot and tropical, full of wild life, great for rearing domestic animals, and absolutely brilliant for raising children. Uganda had some pretty bad press concerning political issues in the past, to the point where if you mentioned it people replied with one uniform stigma. However, all that's changed now and people realise that Uganda actually has a lot of treasure, incredibly nice humanitarian people, and in fact, the most hospitable country in the whole of Africa! Ugandans are very accommodating, nurturing and caring. You find a lot of them working as carers. Uganda is also widely known as the "Pearl" of Africa, home to Lake Victoria, houses a huge part of the River Nile. The country has a wealth of game reserves and national parks and is a strong believer in wild life conservation, so much to the point of educating young pupils through national annual school dramas. We must also not forget the many investment opportunities that Uganda has, including construction.

Mr. and Miss East Africa UK are a young but fully ambitious and pro-active brand of East African Ambassadors. Their main aim is to be a voice for the masses of East African disadvantaged children, to be positive well informed role models wherever they go, and make a generally positive change to ensure recognition for East Africa. Mr. and Miss East Africa UK comprises of a number of beautiful, intelligent, yet passionate and well meaning young ladies and gents who have also formed the first ever "SHOUT" campaign, aimed at East African leaders in an effort to make them listen to the cries and woes of these starving, ill children. We have had two years running beauty pageants with a difference, and this year we stand taller to make an even bigger difference. We're becoming more and more recognised for the beautiful work we do and showing people the true essence of being beautiful... having inner beauty.

In the next 5 years, I see myself as having made an incredible positive difference to myself, East Africa, and the world generally through my passionate campaigns, well meaning advice sessions, and ensuring a remedy to some of our most persistent problems; counselling for HIV AIDS, education and awareness for good sexual health, the trouble with absent parents, the ever increasing blood shed both here and in East Africa, and to ensure realistic equal opportunities for all. I will make contacts with people from Parliament, Government, all influential people to get them to debate these issues. Also, personally, in 5 years time I aim to have fully developed and run my businesses successfully and just generally inventing new things thereby ensuring employment opportunities for especially people in Africa.
