: Gorilla Sector Under Attack

The Tshiaberimu lowland gorilla sector in Virunga came under violent attack

this evening. 7 rangers in a remote patrol post have been resisting a major assault

by Mai-Mai militias over the past three hours.

We are trying to get reinforcements in, but that will take at least 12 hours.

We will try to update you on www.gorilla.cd/blog, but PLEASE try to spread the word

by inviting your friends and relatives.

The rangers of Virunga have struggled alone for many years and

we need you to break out of that isolation.
