After the resignation of Prime Minister Antoine Gizenga, the Democratic Republic of Congo's ruling coalition will form a new government.

"The prime minister will come from the majority coalition,'' Bloomberg quoted executive secretary of the alliance Koyagialo Gbase te Gerengbo as saying on Tuesday. "This coalition still exists."

Gizenga, who resigned on Sept. 25 citing old age, came third in Congo's 2006 presidential election, the country's first free poll in over 40 years.
