President Abbas pays tribute to President Ben Ali

RAMALLAH, October 9, 2008 (TAP) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas paid tribute to President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali for the constant solicitude he lavishes on the Palestinian Cause and for his support to the Palestinian people in their fight to recover their legitimate rights and establish their independent state on their national territory.

In an address he delivered during a ceremony held at the premises of the Palestinian presidency in Ramallah, on the occasion of Eid El-Fitr, in honour of the foreign diplomats accredited to the Palestinian National Authority, President Abbas said: "We, as Palestinians, take great pride in this solicitude and this support." During this same ceremony, the Palestinian President praised the United Nations Organisation's and Arab countries' to the Palestinians and their Cause.
